Pine Island Area Home Services annually schedules VITA during March to assist seniors with their taxes. The 2025 Tax Preparation Date will be scheduled at a later date.
The VITA volunteer will be assisting clients at the Pine Island Senior Center, so clients should plan on spending the appointment time with the preparer rather than the drop-off method used during COVID. An appointment is necessary, and priority for appointments are given to PIAHS clients. Call 507-356-2999 to schedule your appointment today.
When clients are scheduled for an appointment, they will need to swing by the PIAHS office to pick up paperwork which needs to be completed beforehand. Clients will also need to bring the following with them to their appointment: photo ID, last year’s return, social security card, any forms received, and direct deposit information (checkbook or card/ statement from bank).
